Commander’s Weekly Update, June 25, 2025

Fellow Legionnaires, 

Here’s a quick update for this week.  Upcoming events include:

• Thursday, June 26^th 7:00 pm, Officers & Executive Committee Meeting
• Thursday, July 10^th, 7:00 pm, Monthly Membership Meeting
• Weekly events:
  • Tuesdays, 5:00-9:00 pm, Service Officer Availability
  • Wednesdays, 5:30-6:45 pm, Dinner
  • Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00 pm, BINGO!
  • Fridays, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, Coffee & Chat

Construction on the canteen & kitchen continues.  We are still tracking for a grand re-opening in August.  At our next membership meeting we will be installing our new officers and executive committeemen.  Our leaders for the 2025-2026 year are:

Our past Commander, Don Smith and his wife Linda have completed their move to South Carolina.  On behalf of our post, I want to thank Don and Linda for everything they have done on our behalf at Post 53 and wish them fair winds & following seas as they begin their life in South Carolina. 

I hope to see everyone at our upcoming events as we enter the dog days of summer.   Please make every effort to attend our membership meeting on July 10^th and support our new officers and executive committee as we move forward and revitalize our post.
